Brinda Sarathy is an Indian film director, screenwriter, dialogue writer, and poet working primarily in Tamil cinema. He made his directorial debut with Thithikudhe (2003), a Tamil remake of the Telugu film Manasantha Nuvve (2001), starring Jiiva and Sridevi Vijaykumar. He began his career as an associate director and dialogue writer under director N. Linguswamy on Aanandham, later reuniting with Linguswamy as dialogue writer for the romantic-action film Paiyaa (2010). Beyond filmmaking, Sarathy is also an accomplished poet influenced by Tamil literary traditions, a sensibility shaped in part by his mother, who was a Tamil poet and critic.
