Jeeva Selvaraj is a cinematographer and director in Tamil cinema, recognized for his technical expertise and visual storytelling. He began his career as an assistant to renowned cinematographer Jeeva, whose name he later adopted as a tribute. His major breakthrough came as the cinematographer for the critically acclaimed film "Kaakha Kaakha" (2003), directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. His work on this film, characterized by a gritty, realistic texture and dynamic camera movements, helped define the modern aesthetic of Tamil action thrillers. He continued his successful collaboration with Menon on films like "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu" (2006), where his atmospheric lighting and framing significantly enhanced the film's suspenseful narrative.
