M. Sivachandran (born c. 1953 in Valparai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu) is a Tamil cinema actor, director, and writer who adopted his screen name as a tribute combining 'Siva' from Sivaji Ganesan and 'Chandran' from M.G. Ramachandran. He made his acting debut in Moondru Mudichu (1976) and appeared in notable Tamil films including Aval Appadithan (1978), Polladhavan (1980), and December Pookal (1986). He transitioned to direction with En Uyir Kannamma (1988), in which he also acted, and his directorial career concluded with the romantic drama Manam Virumbuthe Unnai (1999). He is also known personally for marrying veteran actress Lakshmi in 1987, whom he met during the production of En Uyir Kannamma, after which he gradually withdrew from active filmmaking.
