Raj-Koti is a celebrated Telugu cinema music composer duo comprising Thotakura Somaraju (Raj) and Saluri Koteswara Rao (Koti), who together composed music for approximately 180 Telugu films from their 1983 debut with Pralaya Garjana through their 1994 separation. Their score for Hello Brother (1994), directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana, earned them both the Nandi Award for Best Music Director and the Filmfare Award South for Best Music. The duo created over 3,000 songs, with roughly 2,500 performed by playback singers S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and K. S. Chithra, and notably A. R. Rahman worked as a keyboard programmer under them for eight years before his own rise to fame. Koti continued as a solo composer for over 350 additional films after the split, and the duo announced a reunion in 2012.
