Biography

Mukesh Udeshi was an Indian film producer active primarily in Hindi and Telugu cinema from the 1990s through the 2010s, known for producing commercially successful films across both industries. He bankrolled Chiranjeevi's Telugu hits including The Gentleman (1994), Pratibandh, and Parasuram, and produced Ram Gopal Varma's cult Hindi suspense thriller Kaun (1999) starring Urmila Matondkar. In his later career he transitioned to line producing major Bollywood productions including Go Goa Gone (2013) and Ek Villain (2014). Udeshi passed away on 11 September 2023 in Chennai due to kidney ailments, just days before a scheduled kidney transplant.
