Paruchuri Murali is a Telugu film director and screenwriter active in the Telugu film industry (Tollywood), best known for launching the career of actor Uday Kiran with his directorial debut. His debut film Nee Sneham (2002), a romantic drama starring Uday Kiran and Aarti Agarwal produced by M. S. Raju under Sumanth Art Productions, earned Uday Kiran an AP Cinegoer's Special Jury Award for Best Performance. He went on to direct Pedababu (2004), Andhrudu (2005), Rechipo (2009), Adhinayakudu (2012), and Aatagallu (2018), often also serving as the screenplay writer on his own projects. His work with Aatagallu (2018) continued his focus on human relationships and interpersonal conflict as recurring themes across his filmography.
