Sonal Giani is a Mumbai-based Indian actress, filmmaker, and LGBTQ rights activist who made her acting debut in the Hindi crime-thriller W (2014), directed by Tarun Madan Chopra, playing Manu, one of three friends running an event management company. She also appeared in the documentary Purple Skies (2013) and the reality series Connected Hum Tum (2013), which followed her life and her public discussion of her bisexuality.
