Biography
Saad Khan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and acting teacher based in Bangalore, working across Hindi, Kannada, and Hollywood productions. He made his feature directorial debut with Station: The Film (2014), a Hindi thriller produced in Bangalore, and followed it with the Kannada-English comedy Humble Politician Nograj (2018), which became the first Kannada film to have a worldwide digital presence on Amazon Prime Video. Trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and a former associate director to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, Khan brings a cross-cultural filmmaking style influenced by both Indian and American independent cinema. He received the Karnataka Award from the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and an Outstanding Alumnus Award from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2015.
