Samar Shaikh is a Mumbai-based Hindi cinema director known for helming the female-led detective comedy-thriller Bobby Jasoos (2014), starring Vidya Balan and produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha. The film marked one of his prominent feature film directorial outings, following which he transitioned into the digital space with web series including Abhay Season 1 (2019) for Alt Balaji and Dev DD.
