Biography
Akshay Akkineni is an Indian film director working in Hindi cinema, son of National Award-winning editor A. Sreekar Prasad and grand-nephew of legendary filmmaker L.V. Prasad. He made his directorial debut with Pizza (2014), a Hindi remake of Karthik Subbaraj's 2012 Tamil horror thriller of the same name, shot entirely in 3D using TS5 equipment and produced by UTV Spotboy. He subsequently served as second unit director on Wazir (2016), starring Amitabh Bachchan, having earlier worked as assistant director on films including David (2013). He is married to actress Keerthana Parthiban, the National Award-winning child artist from Kannathil Muthamittal (2002).
