Mandeep Kumar is an Indian film director who works in Hindi and Punjabi cinema, best known for directing the romantic comedy Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012) starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. He made his directorial debut with the Punjabi film Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, for which he won the PTC Film Award for Best Director in 2011. He subsequently directed the Punjabi action film Ambarsariya (2016) with Diljit Dosanjh and the political biopic Kaptaan (2016) based on the life of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. A mechanical engineer by training who received formal film direction training in Mumbai, Kumar has worked across both Bollywood and Punjabi film industries.
