Biography
Raaghav Dar is an Indian writer and director in Hindi cinema, primarily known for his directorial debut My Friend Pinto (2011), a musical comedy produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and starring Prateik Babbar. His short film Bombay Summer (2004) earned an Honorable Mention from BAFTA at the Aspen Shortsfest, marking an early recognition of his work. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), he trained under Mani Ratnam as assistant director on Guru (2007) and worked as associate director on Abbas Tyrewala's Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) before transitioning to independent projects. He later directed the Netflix documentary Mumbai Mafia: Police Vs The Underworld (2023), demonstrating a range spanning musical comedy, documentary, and political thriller formats.
