Tanveer Khan was an Indian film director, screenwriter, and dialogue writer who worked primarily in Hindi cinema, beginning his career as a writer before transitioning to directing. He made his directorial debut with Madhoshi (2004), a psychological thriller starring Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, followed by the crime thriller Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante (2006) featuring Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma. His films explored psychological and suspense-driven narratives, with Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante earning a notably higher critical reception (IMDb 6.3) than his other directorial efforts. Khan also had a prolific writing career spanning the 1990s, with dialogue credits on hit films including Raja (1995), Ishq (1997), and Suhaag (1994), before his death on December 19, 2017 after a battle with cancer.
