2.0 is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language science-fantasy action film directed by S. Shankar. It stars Rajinikanth in a triple role as Dr. Vaseegaran, Chitti the robot, and Kutti, alongside Akshay Kumar as Pakshi Rajan and Amy Jackson as Nila. The story follows Chitti, a dismantled humanoid robot, who is reactivated to stop a vengeful spirit that controls mobile phones. This spirit, Pakshi Rajan, seeks to destroy all cell phones and towers to avenge the death of birds caused by radiation. The film was the most expensive Indian film at the time of release and was the first Indian film shot natively in 3D.
