Sherin Shringar is a Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam film actress born in Bangalore, primarily known for her work in Tamil cinema during the early 2000s. She made her Tamil debut in Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002) opposite Dhanush in his acting debut, a film that became a sleeper hit and earned her the Cinema Express Award for Most Popular Actress in 2003. She followed up with roles in Jaya (2002) alongside Ramya Krishnan and took on a negative role in the horror film Whistle (2003), demonstrating range across genres early in her career.
