On Thursday, the first look poster for Rajinikanth's upcoming film \"Thalaivar 171,\" directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was revealed.

The poster shows Rajinikanth in a youthful appearance, with a clock in the background and Rajini handcuffed by a chain made of watches.

Lokesh Kanagaraj announced that the film's title will be revealed on April 22 through a teaser video.
\"Thalaivar 171\" is produced by Sun Pictures. The technical team includes Lokesh's usual collaborators Anirudh and Anbariv.

Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his upcoming movie, \"Vettaiyan,\" directed by TJ Gnanavel. Lokesh is also set to direct \"Kaithi 2,\" featuring Karthi.

At the launch of a music video starring him and Shruti Haasan, Lokesh clarified that he's not transitioning to acting; his focus remains on directing films. He mentioned that filming for \"Thalaivar 171\" will commence in June.
