Thani Oruvan smashes down Baahubali record

Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy starrer Thani Oruvan has been successfully running in the theatres for the past two weeks and grossed good numbers silently. The buzz was running around that the epic Baahubali leads the top in box office collection but now the Tamil movie made in a lower budget had overtaken the legendary film.

Thani Oruvan has run totally 240 shows to collect 1.28 crores. The second week collection of Baahubali was only 1.06 crores and the record has been taken over by Raja. The total collection of Baahubali in Chennai was 1.66 crores and it is soon to be beaten by this crime thriller by this weekend. It is a great name for the movie makers that in a low budget and making in a single language, they were able to do wonders. Hats off to Mohan Raja !!!
