Rajinikanth finishes filming his parts in Vettaiyan

Lyca Productions, the company funding Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan, shared on Monday that the actor finished filming his scenes for the movie.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for directing Suriya's Jai Bhim (2021), the film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan.

It's important to mention that after 33 years, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are working together again in a movie. They previously collaborated on films like Andhaa Kaanoon (1983) and Geraftaar (1985). Their last movie together was Hum, released in 1991.

In Vettaiyan, the music is by Anirudh Ravichander. This is the fourth time Anirudh has worked with Rajinikanth. Earlier, he composed music for Rajinikanth's movies Petta, Darbar, and Jailer. Other members of the technical team include cinematographer S R Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.

Vettaiyan is set to be released in October.
