Visaranai

Visaranai directed by Vetrimaaran has got a standing ovation at the Venice International Film Festival. The foreign audiences after the movie’s premiere had clapped for continuously 8 minutes during its first screening on September 10. The theatre was having 1400 seats and more than half of them were occupied. When they received the non-stop applause, the team stood speechless in tears in the esteemed film fest.

The producer of the movie Dhanush has not yet watched it as he was busy with the shooting of a Hindi movie. He is said to return back in 4 months while bearing all the expenses for the making of Visaranai. When Vetrimaaran initiated to tell the story of Visaranai, Dhanush stopped him telling that after hearing his story, he may have an urge to act in it. The director feels so grateful to Dhanush on sharing this to the reporters.
