The veteran actress Manorama fondly known as Aachi who has given more than 1000 films in her career died on October 10 at 11:10 P.M. She has been suffering from multiple organ failure and was admitted to Apollo Hospitals. She had a cardiac arrest in her last minutes and left her breath.\r\n \r\nManorama has a unique record of working with five Chief Ministers right from Anna Durai, MG Ramachandran, J Jayalalitha, Kalaignar Karunanidhi and NT Rama Rao. She had even worked with the present generation actors Vijay, Ajith, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. \r\n\r\nSeveral actors including Rajinikanth, Sivakumar, Karthi, Vishal, Prasanna, Sneha, Goundamani, Senthil, Sarathkumar, Mansoor Ali Khan are right now visiting and paying homage to Aachi.

Gopishantha, better known by her stage name Manorama, also called Aachi, is a Tamil actress who has appeared in more than 1,000 films, 1,000 stage performances, and several television series. She is only second to Sukumari in most number of films acted.\r\n
