Simbu-Selvaraghavan Kaan dropped or shelved temporarily

The gossip of the day can be considered as this news that Simbu’s upcoming action, Kaan directed by Selvaraghavan is dropped down. The first look was released in the month of June but there were no developments after that. The shooting went on for a few days at Chennai after which STR became busy with Gautham menon’s Achcham Enbathu Madamaiyada.\r\n\r\nIt seems that Simbu had allotted dates after finishing with the former one. But the problem was there were no financiers coming forward to fund the project. Though it is produced by the director’s wife Gitanjali Selvaraghavan and Siddharth Rao, there were no initial contribution to run the shooting. Hence the idea of Kaan is shelved temporarily as of now.\r\n\r\nAdded to that, Selvaraghavan has decided to direct a movie for Dhanush which will be bankrolled by the actor himself under Wunderbar Films. This has made STR fans to a high disappointment and they wish for the reversal of events.\r\n\r\nThe director took to Twitter to present his side of the story and his tweets are as follows, \r\n\r\n\"I have been hearing a lot of rumors about Kaan. I just want to clarify certain things. Kaan as a script is very close to my heart and is also an ambitious project. The team and I want to do justice to our vision. The team and I have taken a mutual call to temporarily put the project on hold . It's great to know that we all share the same vision. We will resume the project next year once we have restructured the finances. In the meantime I will miss working with Simbu and the crew.\"
