Kuttram Kadithal - The Best Film Award by Puducherry Government

Kuttram Kadithal, the Kollywood drama released on September 25 is praised as one of the best films ever made in Tamil cinema. Directed by Bramma.G and produced by JSK Sathish, it has been heaped with praises from critics. It was selected by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) under the ‘Indian Panorama’ category as the only Tamil film.

It was also premiered in Zimbabwe International Film Festival and Mumbai Film Festival. There were other awards bagged by the movie are National Film Award for Best Tamil FIlm and Best Tamil Film in Chennai International Film Festival.

The Puducherry Government has selected the movie under the name’ Sankaradas Swamigal Best Film Award’ with 1 Lakh cash prize. The Puducherry Chief Minister Rangasamy awarded the director with a silver medal and the cash. As the movie was focusing on how teachers needed to be kind enough to the students, it was selected by the Government itself as the Best film.
