Priyadarshan chose Ilaiyaraja instead of A.R.Rahman

The Kanchivaram director Priyadarshan is working on a project ‘Sila Nerangalil’ at present which is anticipated as an AIDS awareness movie. Produced by Amala Paul, it stars the same Kanchivaram team Prakash Raj and Sriya Reddy. Ashok Selvan, the Thegidi actor plays a pivotal role along with them.

The shooting has been completed in a silent way and the post production chores are yet to begin. The maker’s husband director Vijay had earlier reported that after making the movie, BGM will be scored by A.R.Rahman. Now there are change of plans that Ilaiyaraja is going to compose music.

The duo - Priyadarshan and Ilaiyaraja had worked before in 1996 for Siraichalai and after a brief time, they are uniting together. It looks like Isaignani was impressed after watching the film and immediately nodded to be a part of it. Though the movie has no songs as of now, the composer is planning to include few.
