Varalaxmi speaks about working with director Bala

Thaarai Thappattai is the next movie for director Bala after Paradesi in 2013. It also marks another special occurrence of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja's 1000th film. The storyline is based on the Karagattam dance form and the actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar had to work hard for 3 months in learning the art perfectly.

Another interesting news about the movie is Varalaxmi has been working as an assistant director with Bala for the first time. She shares that it was fun working together and described him as an encyclopedia.

Even the lady got her shoulders dislocated during a sequence but still went on with her amazing performance sustaining her injury. This had made Bala to gift her an expensive watch and a gold chain as a token of appreciation. The future project for Varalaxmi next to Tharai Thappattai is with Arjun and Prasanna in a cop story directed by Arun Vaidyanathan.
