‘144 is not a crime story’, says Ashok Selvan

144 is an upcoming comedy flick by a debutant Manikandan and produced by CV Kumar starring Ashok Selvan, Mirchi Shiva with Oviya and Sruthi Ramakrishnan in the female leads. Slated to release on December 18, the actor in a recent talk revealed that it is inspired from a real life story.

The title of the movie is brought down from the Section 144 in the Indian Constitution that prohibits the assembly of more than 10 people in an area with an intention to disturb the peace. But the actors confirms that this movie has got nothing to do with the crime.

Instead the director has handled it in a never expected intelligent manner. Ashok Selvan has also given his best inputs to add humour to the plot. The shooting was completed in and around Madurai and the movie is gearing up for the release on the stated date.
