Shruti Haasan signs for Thani Oruvan remake

The remake of the Tamil blockbuster hit Thani Oruvan in Telugu is having the casting process going on. The remake rights was bought by Ram Charan and the movie will be directed by Surender Reddy. A new addition is that Shruti Haasan was approached to do the role of Nayanthara as the leading lady.

It will be the second time for Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan to pair up after Yevadu. We also hear that once the director approached her, she readily accepted the offer without hesitation. The matter of concern is that she has been offered Rs.1.5 crores for doing this role.

Allu Aravind is the producer of the movie under Geetha Arts banner who thought that the pair will work out on screen. The shooting is likely to be started off by the end of this year and Shruti will also play the love interest of Naga Chaitanya in his upcoming Majnu simultaneously.
