Why is the same title retained for Telugu Premam ?

Premam is absolutely not a Telugu word but yet the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Premam is having the name unchanged. Speculations were running around that the working title Majnu would be the official one.

But Majnu is also the name of Naga Chaitanya’s dad film in 1987 and they didn’t want to repeat that. Perhaps the team wanted to have the Premam magic work out in this version too and hence decided the same.

Nevertheless the tagline ‘Love Stories end. Feelings don’t’ has been an impact creating one to say. The actor has two consecutive releases as Premam will see the light by May and his Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo will also release for Summer.
