Arvind Swamy to turn director !!

The ‘Siddharth Abhimanyu’ of Thani Oruvan is still haunting the hearts of Kollywood audiences as a stylish dreadful villain. Arvind Swamy will be reprising the same role in its Telugu remake which marks a comeback for him to Telugu cinema after 21 years. He also has several movies at hand queued to release in this year.

He just finished the shooting for the Hindi film ‘Dear Dad’ followed by Jayam Ravi’s Bogan in which he is featured as a sage ! After all these commitments are over, he is of the plans to direct a movie. He has penned 2 scripts ready and is likely to make his directorial debut with any one of them. It may be a Tamil or a Hindi film and will roll out in a year.

When questioned about the reason for his plans, he said that the changing taste of the audience has encouraged him to do so. It is true that people have now started to like different stories out of the ordinary commercial and different genre films. Hope the expectations of the director will work out well for his venture.
