The Telugu remake of Kollywood blockbuster Thani Oruvan has commenced the shooting with the main hero Ram Charan from June 4. The first schedule will run at the big Office complex in IT Zone in Gachibowli in Hyderabad. The actor had been on holidays after his last outing Bruce Lee which did not the expected business at the box office.

Because of it, he has chosen his next script with much care. Directed by Surender Reddy, the latest film for him Kick 2 was also a debacle. So this collaboration with these two are working aggressively to get back what they lost. Titled as Dhruva, the cast consists of Arvind Swamy in his majestic Siddhartha Abhimanyu role and the female lead as Rakul Preet Singh in place of Nayanthara.

This is the second time for Rakul to pair with Ram Charan after Cherry. Produced by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts banner, Ram Charan reprises Jayam Ravi as the training IPS officer. He has even turned vegetarian for a while and has developed a lean body. Hiphop Tamizha is making his musical debut to Tollywood by scoring tunes for Dhruva. P.S.Vinod who worked for Nagarjuna’s Oopiri is handling the camera.
