Check out the romantic first look of Mani Ratnam's film

Ace director Mani Ratnam has made an official announcement on his upcoming and the much awaited project with the Thozha actor. Titled as Kaatru Veliyidai, the romantic flick will feature Karthi and Aditya Rao Hydari in the leading roles. The first look poster has been revealed with the details of full cast and crew members.

The title has been inspired from the first line of a popular poem written by the poet Bharathiyar. The director's last outing OK Kanmani has attracted the young audience very much with intense coming-of-the-age romantic sequences. Not to mention, his previous movies like Alaipayuthey is also in the list of top romantic flicks of all time.

Kaatru Veliyidai is also expected to be in lines of them. Karthi will be playing the role of an NRI pilot who falls in love with the Bollywood actress during his flight journey to India. RJ Balaji was a recent addition to the cast in a supporting role. A.R.Rahman will score the romantic songs while Vairamuthu penning the lyrics.

The duo had already started to work on it. The technical crew consists of Ravi Varman for cranking the camera, Sreekar Prasad for editing and Sharmishta Roy for set designing. Produced by the director's Madras Talkies production house, the shooting has been commenced from July 7 at the picturesque locations of Ooty.
