Popular Kannada actress makes cameo in Kaatru Veliyidai

Shraddha Srinath has become the sensation of Kollywood overnight with her debut film U-Turn turned out be successful and she was lauded by everyone for her amazing performance. Following the feat, she is roped in to do a cameo appearance in ace director Mani Ratnam's upcoming film Kaatru Veliyidai. She will be playing the role of a military brat in the story.

Few sources say that her role is a crucial one in the plot and she will have a meaty part to play. In fact she is a military brat (brat meaning the child of a military personnel) in real life with her father serving in Indian military for a long time. The movie features Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles apart from her. Produced by Madras Talkies, the shooting has already been kickstarted at Ooty from July 7.

Shraddha makes her Kollywood debut in another untitled flick directed by Gautham Ramachandran opposite Nivin Pauly who is also doing his first direct Tamil film. She will be seen as the journalist in the remake if the Kannada neo-noir crime thriller Ulidavaru Kandanthe. The movie's story revolves around the five different events that surround a person’s murder.
