Srikanth - Santhanam’s Nambiar release date

Actor Srikanth who was last seen in Sowkarpettai is having his upcoming science fiction comedy, Nambiar slated to hit the screens on August 19. The shooting was completed in 2013 itself but is coming to limelight after 3 years. Featuring Santhanam in the titular role, the name of the film is inspired from the late actor cum villain Nambiar.

Srikanth and Sunaina are in the leading roles while the supporting cast consists of John Vijay, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Delhi Ganesh and Subbu Panchu. Actor Arya and the Miss India beauty pageant Parvathy Omanakuttan will be making special appearances. In fact Arya had been a part of this film without demanding any remuneration.
Directed by Ganeshaa, a former assistant of director Rajamouli, this flick is produced by Vandana Srikanth under Golden Friday Films. Vijay Antony was supposed to play the titular role but later passed it on to Santhanam who will get the screen time equal to the lead actor. Vijay Antony had scored the tunes for the film. The album marks the singing debut for Santhanam in a song 'Aara Amara’.
