Vikram's Iru Mugan box office report

Iru Mugan starring Vikram, Nayanthara and Nithya Menon which was released on September 8 during the 4 day weekend has been doing average business to say. It was released in Tamil and Telugu while the Kannada release was banned due to the bandh. Produced by Shibu Thameens under Thameens Films, the total collection in the opening weekend alone was 51 crores worldwide.

The split-ups according to some reports are 12.66 crores on Day 1, 10.12 crores on Day 2, 13.94 crores on Day 3 and 14.47 crores on Day 4. The numbers are looking stable throughout the four days. As for the collections within Tamil Nadu, it comes up to 19 crores and managed to maintain good reviews at the box office.

The forthcoming week is going to be the deciding part of the movie’s success rate. Directed by Anand Shankar, Vikram’s performance in dual roles is the one outstanding factor that pulls the audiences to the theatres. Also no other big releases are there in these days and hence it can garner as much as possible especially during the Bakrid holidays.
