Akshay Kumar’s next is ‘Gold’ !!

Akshay Kumar's whose latest release Rustom had a good run at the box office has signed his next with director Reema Kagti of Talaash fame. The two film old lady director will be helming this flick titled as ‘Gold’.

To be bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment's, it is notable the it was Ritesh who produced the rest of Reema's movies. The venture has been officially announced from the horse's mouth themselves.

The excited actor also shared the first look poster of the film with the official title and the crew members revealed. The leading lady and the rest of the supporting cast are yet to be roped in. The movie's plot will be based on the year 1948 when India bagged the first Olympic Gold medal in Hockey defeating the British team for the first time in history.

Hence the movie has got the apt title 'Gold'. The release date was also announced by the team as August 15 in 2018 as the Independence Day also goes coinciding with the movie's theme.
