It’s a wrap for Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai

The Maverick director Mani Ratnam who was working on his next romantic drama Kaatru Veliyidai with Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari has wrapped up its shooting as on December 28. The filming began earlier this year in July month at Ooty followed by few schedules at Hyderabad and Ladakh. The final schedule took place at Serbia at the picturesque mountain locations where a song was canned.

The post production works have commenced with the album composed by A.R.Rahman ready to be launched sometime in January, 2017. Meanwhile the first look teaser is also awaited eagerly from the team. Produced by the director’s home banner Madras Talkies, Sri Thenandal Films has bought the theatrical distribution rights for Tamil Nadu.

Kaatru Veliyidai is likely to hit the screens for March 2017 in both Tamil and Telugu and the rights for the Telugu dubbed version ‘Duet’ has been bought by Dil Raju. Apart from Karthi & Aditi, the other members of the cast includes Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath, Rukmini Vijayakumar, RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh and veteran Malayalam actress Lalitha in supporting roles.
