Kaatru Veliyidai to hit the screens on this date !!

Karthi's Kaatru Veliyidai which had the shooting wrapped up few days back has commenced its post production works. The ace director Mani Ratnam has locked the release date as the first step on March 24. Earlier there were reports rounding that it will open to screens for this year Valentines Day in February.

But looks like the album composed by A.R.Rahman will be unveiled in the last week of January or in February. Produced by the director's Madras Talkies, Sri Thenandal Films has bought the theatrical distribution rights for TN region. Few sources suggest that this romantic drama is the costliest project ever in Mani Ratnam’s directorial.

Karthi plays a fighter pilot while his lovelady Aditi Rao Hydari will be featured as a dentist. Meanwhile Mani Sir is taking efforts to dub the film in Hindi and release in Bollywood on the same date just like his previous movies Bombay and Roja. On the other hand, the makers of Vijay Sethupathi’s Kavan are also eyeing to release their flick in the last week of March.
