Hero hunt is on for ‘Pellichoopulu’ Tamil remake

The Telugu romantic- comedy ‘Pellichoopulu’ had debutants acting in this film. The film was a biggest hit in Tollywood. Gautam Vasudev Menon has acquired the remake rights of the film and it will be directed by Senthil Veerasamy, who previously produced the hit film ‘Rajathandhiram’.

Mollywood star, Nivin Pauly was previously in talks to do this Tamil remake, but later was dropped. Then Vaibhav was roped in and a screen test was also taken to cast him in. Later the talks to rope him faded.

Tamannah Bhatia was roped in as the female lead while the confusions for casting hero were going on. Udhayanidhi Stalin was approached for this film but the actor declined to do it.

Now the makers have approached Vishnu Vishal for the leading role and there in no confirmation yet from the team as the actor is busy in shooting and has more than 3 films lined up this year.

Will Vishnu Vishal accept for this Tamil remake? An official announcement is expected from the team.
