Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Rani Laxmibai’ title and director replaced!!

Director Ketan Mehta was determined to direct ‘Rani Laxmibai’ for a long time. Sushmita Sen was approached for the lead role and the director was not able to go forward with the film’s direction, due to many reasons. Kangana Ranaut accepted to this role.

Shocking news in that Kangana has replaced Ketan Mehta with director Krish of ‘Gabbar is Back’ fame!! Yes, the reason for the replacement is not known clearly. Even the title is changed to ‘Manikarnika’. Kangana will begin the shooting with the new team from March 23, which happens to be her birthday. A popular production banner will be producing this film.

The film’s story is written by K V Vijayendra Prasad, who has also written the story of Bahubali. He is the father of ace director SS Rajamouli.
