Fidaa is a 2017 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film stars Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi in her Telugu cinema debut. The story follows Varun, an NRI medical student from Texas, and Bhanumathi, a spirited village girl from Telangana, as they navigate cultural differences, misunderstandings, and personal pride. Their romance faces challenges when a misinterpreted conversation creates a rift, but destiny reunites them in America. The film was shot in Banswada, Texas, New Jersey, and Colorado, with music composed by Shakthikanth Karthick. Released on 21 July 2017, Fidaa received critical acclaim for its performances, music, and relatable storytelling. It grossed over ₹91 crore on a ₹13 crore budget, becoming a commercial blockbuster.
