'Naagin’ fame Mouni Roy roped in for Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’?

Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of an Indian hockey player Balbir Singh in his next film and this film will be a biopic based on Balbir Singh’s life. He played the key role in receiving the first Olympic medal for India in 1948.

This biopic is titled as ‘Gold’ and Reema Kagti will be directing this film. Kunal Kapoor was roped in for a crucial role and now it is speculated that Hindi Series actress ‘Naagin’ fame, Mouni Roy has been cast in as the female lead in the film. If it is true, the actress will be making her Bollywood debut in ‘Gold’. An official announcement is expected regarding the cast and crew.

‘Gold’ is expected to go on floors in October, although the team planned to commence the shoot in July or August, this year. The film will be an ‘Independence Day’ release for next year.
