Vasan Shaji was an assistant director to Selvaraghavan and now he is going to make a movie Vaandu. This is a true story of a street fight that happened in the year 1970 – 1971 in North Madras. The movie is featuring Komban fame Maha Gandhi, Madras fame Rama, Theri fame Sai Dheena, Romeo Juliet fame Bhuvenaswari and 2.0 fame Ravishankar in the important roles.\r\n\r\nNesan a new music composer is scoring music for Vandu and the movie is produced by Vaasan Shaji and Muniyandi for M.M.Power Cine Creations. Two cinematographers are filming the movie Ramesh and V Mahendran.

Selvaraghavan, is an Indian film director who has directed predominantly Tamil language films. After writing the script for his father's directorial venture Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), Selvaraghavan went on to make a series of romantic drama films with Kadhal Kondein (2003) and 7G Rainbow Colony (2004) before also venturing to make coming-of-age films Pudhupettai (2006) and Mayakkam Enna (2011). He has also ventured into making fantasy films, depicting a fantasy Chola kingdom in Aayirathil Oruvan (2010) and a parallel universe in Irandam Ulagam (2013).
