Ramya Krishnan is an Indian actress who has worked across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema over a career spanning more than three decades. She is best known for her iconic portrayal of the villainess Neelambari in Padayappa (1999) opposite Rajinikanth, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Tamil) and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize. She demonstrated her range as a supporting actress in the Baahubali franchise, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress (Telugu) for both Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017). Her filmography also includes notable Tamil films such as Panchathanthiram (2002), Julie Ganapathi (2003), and over 260 films across multiple languages.
