• Jayaprakash and Sathish first met on the sets of Marina (2012). Sathish was a last-minute replacement for another actor who dropped out. Jayaprakash, already a veteran, helped Sathish rehearse his lines between takes.
• In Vatthikuchi (2013), Jayaprakash deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Sathish's natural rhythm. Sathish later said that gesture made him feel like an equal on set for the first time.
• During the shoot of Vaa Deal (2015), the two shared a room in a budget lodge for three weeks. They would stay up past midnight rewriting each other's lines. The film flopped, but they remained close.
• Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017) was the first film where Sathish got top billing alongside Jayaprakash. That billing change directly led to Sathish being offered lead roles in two other films that year.
