• Robo Shankar was a last-minute replacement in Jeyikkira Kuthira (2017). The original actor dropped out, and Kovai Sarala personally recommended Shankar to the director after seeing his stage comedy.
• In Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum (2017), Sarala deliberately slowed down her comic timing to match Shankar's rapid-fire delivery. She told the director she wanted the audience to catch every one of his punchlines — not hers.
• Their Viswasam (2019) scene — where Sarala's character scolds Shankar's character in a police station — was entirely improvised. The director let them go for 12 minutes straight. They used only 90 seconds in the final cut.
• The success of their double-act in Viswasam (2019) directly led to Shankar being cast as the lead comedian in two subsequent Ajith films. Sarala had pushed for him in the role, telling producers he could hold his own against a superstar.
