• For Manaivi Oru Mandhiri (1988), director K. S. Gopalakrishnan paired them specifically because he wanted two actresses who could switch between comedy and emotional weight in the same scene — Sarala was the comedy engine, Seetha the emotional anchor.
• In Amma Pillai (1990), Sarala’s rapid-fire comic timing forced Seetha to slow down her delivery — Seetha later said in an interview that Sarala’s rhythm made her realize she had been rushing her lines for years.
