• Vishnu Manchu personally requested Kota Srinivasa Rao to play his father in 'Suryam' (2004). Kota initially refused, saying he was tired of playing father roles. Vishnu convinced him by promising the role had a unique emotional arc — a father who turns against his own son.
• In 'Doosukeltha' (2013), Kota Srinivasa Rao improvised an entire monologue about village politics while Vishnu Manchu stood silent for three minutes. Vishnu later said he deliberately didn't interrupt because Kota's rhythm was like a tabla solo — you just let it play out.
