• Satyendra Kapoor and Ramesh Deo were both veterans of character roles when they first shared screen space in Ramkali (1985). The film's director, T. Rama Rao, specifically paired them as the two scheming uncles — a casting choice that turned their real-life age gap into on-screen rivalry.
• In Kamagni (1987), Kapoor played the stern father while Deo played the comic sidekick. Deo later admitted in an interview that Kapoor's deadpan delivery forced him to dial down his own slapstick — making their scenes together feel like a straight man vs. clown routine that actually worked.
• Despite making only three films together, Kapoor and Deo remained close off-screen. Deo's son, actor Ajinkya Deo, recalled that Kapoor would drop by their Pune home unannounced even in the 2000s, long after they stopped working together, just to chat over chai.
• Their third and final collaboration, Gharwali Baharwali (1998), was the only film where they played friends instead of antagonists. That film's moderate success led producer Pahlaj Nihalani to cast both of them again in his next project — but Kapoor passed away before shooting began.
