• They first met on the set of Saroja (2008) when director Venkat Prabhu needed a pair of comedians who could play off each other without stepping on each other's lines. Bose Venkat was already a theatre veteran; Badava Gopi was a TV face. The director literally introduced them five minutes before the first shot and told them to just go with it.
• In Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani (2014), Bose Venkat would deliberately flub a line to make Gopi break character. Gopi would then retaliate by adding a random Tamil proverb mid-scene. The director kept the takes where both were barely holding in laughter — those made the final cut.
• Their comic timing in Thodari (2016) — specifically the train compartment scene where they argue over a stolen idli — became a meme template on Tamil social media in 2017. It directly inspired a short film called 'Idli Thadam' that went viral on YouTube with 2 million views.
• On every film they did together, they had a ritual: before the first day of shoot, they'd share a single cup of filter coffee at the same shop near the set. No exceptions. For Panam Kaaikkum Maram (2019), the shop had shut down — they drove 20 km to find another one.
• Badava Gopi once said in a 2019 interview: 'Bose is the only actor who can make me forget my lines because I'm too busy watching him act. I have to physically look away to remember my dialogue.'
• Panam Kaaikkum Maram (2019) was almost made without Bose Venkat. The producer wanted a bigger name. Badava Gopi refused to sign unless Bose was cast as his on-screen brother. He told the producer: 'If he's not in it, I'm not in it.' That film became a hit.
