• Delhi Ganesh was already a respected character actor when Heera was cast as the female lead in Nee Pathi Naan Pathi (1991). He wasn't supposed to have a major role opposite her — but the director saw them rehearse one scene and rewrote the script to give them more screen time together.
• In Avvai Shanmughi (1996), Heera played a young woman pretending to be a man. Delhi Ganesh played her father. The comedy came from him being the only one who never suspected anything — and Heera later said in an interview that Ganesh's deadpan reactions made her improvise more physical comedy in every take.
• During the shoot of Thodarum (1999), Heera was going through a tough personal phase. Delhi Ganesh would drive her home after every night shoot — even though his house was in the opposite direction. She mentioned this in a 2000 magazine interview, calling him 'the only co-star who checked on me after pack-up.'
• The success of their father-daughter dynamic in Avvai Shanmughi (1996) directly inspired the casting of Delhi Ganesh as the protective father in several later films starring younger heroines — including a 1998 film where the director specifically asked for 'that same warmth he had with Heera.'
