• Yogi Babu was a last-minute replacement in 'Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala' (2018). The original actor dropped out days before shooting, and director R. Kannan called Yogi on a whim. Uma Padmanabhan later said she had to completely rework her comic timing because Yogi's rhythm was so different from the original plan.
• In 'Kaatrin Mozhi' (2018), Uma Padmanabhan deliberately slowed down her delivery to match Yogi Babu's deadpan pauses. She told the director that Yogi's silence was funnier than any punchline, so she started leaving gaps in their dialogues for him to fill with just a look. That film became their biggest critical hit together.
• During the shoot of 'Taana' (2020), Uma Padmanabhan and Yogi Babu developed a ritual: before every scene together, they would exchange one random Tamil film dialogue from the 90s. Yogi later admitted it was his way of calming his nerves around Uma, who he felt was 'too polished' for his style.
• Their three-film run directly inspired director R. Kannan to write a spin-off script centered on a comic duo — something he had never attempted before. The project was announced in 2021 but hasn't gone into production yet. Kannan said in an interview that watching Uma and Yogi bounce off each other made him believe a full comedy franchise was possible.
• Uma Padmanabhan said about Yogi Babu during 'Taana' promotions: 'He doesn't act. He just exists in the scene. I had to stop acting and start existing too. That's the only way to keep up with him.'
